# Chris Guitar Tuto

> Online guitar school from Mauritius, taught in Mauritian Kreol, French and English. "Chris Guitar Tuto Method" is a four-year guitar programme, grade by grade from 1 to 8, from the very first chord to the level to lead at a university music school. An app listens to the student play and says what to work on; a teacher answers on WhatsApp. The first 30 days are free, with no card needed.

Opens on 31 October 2026 at 10:00 (Mauritius time). Before that, the site takes reservations; the first 100 students get a founding discount for as long as they stay subscribed.

## What the student gets

- A four-year road: 16 terms of 13 weeks (208 weeks), a check-up every 13 weeks, an exam and a certificate at the end of each year.
- Year 1: first chords, rhythm, scales, first styles. Year 2: harmony on the neck, lead playing, a chosen style (sega, songs, blues-rock or fingerstyle). Year 3: advanced technique, harmony and styles, acoustic and fingerstyle. Year 4: improvisation, composition, studio and stage, a final project.
- "Score me" (Note-moi): the app listens through the microphone and says which chords and notes rang clean.
- A library of method books read inside the app, every exercise playable; printed books have QR codes that open the same exercise.
- Plans: App (one person), Family (up to 5 people), and App + Coach (4 live online lessons a month with a teacher, booked on WhatsApp). 100% online.
- Corda Kids: a separate app for children, with a parent view.

## FAQ (English)

- **What do I need?** Your guitar, and a phone or computer with a microphone. The app does the listening.
- **Do I need a card?** No. Your 30 days are free, with no card needed. You only choose a plan if you want to carry on.
- **What if it is not for me?** On a yearly plan, satisfied or your money back: tell the admin within 30 days of your first yearly payment and it is refunded in full, whatever you used — once per person. A monthly plan can be cancelled at any time, and nothing more is taken.
- **Can I change my level later?** During the 30-day trial the level is set, so the month stays coherent from day 1 to day 28 — if you are not sure, take the 3-minute test first. After that, on the four-year programme, you can answer the “My path” questions again at any time and your road picks up from the right term.
- **What happens after 30 days?** Everything you make in the 30 days is kept. With a plan, the four-year programme carries on from where you are: the 30 days count as the start of term 1. If not, you keep what you wrote.
- **How do I slow a passage down?** Use the speed control in the toolbar, or loop two bars and switch the speed trainer on.
- **I get no sound** Click once anywhere on the page before pressing play — browsers block audio until you interact.
- **Are there video lessons?** No. Every lesson is the tab, the backing track and TrueTake listening and marking every chord. Coach answers your recording in week 3, and live with App + Coach.
- **What does it run on?** Phone, tablet or computer, in a recent browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox). Nothing to install: you can add it to your home screen. An internet connection is needed.
- **Which guitar?** Acoustic or electric, either is fine. The tuner is in the app. A capo helps from term 5 on, but is not required.
- **Which language?** Mauritian Kreol, French or English. Switch at any time, in the app and on this site.
- **How much time a day?** 10 to 25 minutes depending on the level, four days a week is enough. The full programme runs four years: sixteen terms of thirteen weeks.
- **How is my progress measured?** Every thirteen weeks, the same three-minute TrueTake check-up: fastest tempo, chord-change lateness, steadiness — against day 1 and against last term. At the end of each year, an exam in the app, four marked pieces, then a certificate to print or share.
- **What is the parcours?** In term 7 you choose the music you came for: sega & seggae, accompanying songs, blues & rock, or fingerstyle. The term’s lessons follow your choice, and you can change it until the term ends.
- **How do 2 or 5 people work?** Each person has their own profile, level and progress. One bill for the household.
- **How do I cancel?** Monthly plan: any time, by writing to Coach by e-mail or WhatsApp; access stays until the end of the month paid. Yearly plan: refunded in full if you say so within 30 days of the first payment.
- **Rupees or euros?** In Mauritius, prices are in rupees; everywhere else, in euros. Card payment, secured by Stripe. The price shown is the price paid, tax included.
- **The founding offer, exactly?** The first 100 sign-ups get a code: 20% off for as long as the subscription stays active. Save your place on the waiting page to receive it on opening day.
- **What about my microphone?** TrueTake listens on your device. Audio sent for analysis is processed on your device or deleted from our server within thirty minutes. Nothing is published. The privacy policy at the bottom of the page has the details.
- **App + Coach: how does a lesson work?** Four live lessons a month, 30 or 45 minutes, on video, booked on WhatsApp. Free cancellation up to 24 h before. For one person. Write on WhatsApp to set the times.

- **Faut-il une carte ?** Non. Vos 30 jours sont gratuits, sans carte bancaire. Vous choisissez une formule seulement si vous voulez continuer.
- **Et si ce n’est pas pour moi ?** Sur une formule annuelle, satisfait ou remboursé : prévenez l’admin dans les 30 jours qui suivent votre premier paiement annuel et il vous est remboursé en totalité, quel que soit votre usage — une fois par personne. Une formule mensuelle se résilie à tout moment, et plus rien n’est prélevé.
- **Puis-je changer de niveau plus tard ?** Pendant les 30 jours d’essai, le niveau est fixé pour que le mois reste cohérent du jour 1 au jour 28 — si vous hésitez, faites d’abord le test de 3 minutes. Ensuite, sur le programme de quatre ans, vous pouvez répondre à nouveau aux questions de « Mon parcours » à tout moment : votre route repart du bon trimestre.

- **Sur quoi ça marche ?** Téléphone, tablette ou ordinateur, dans un navigateur récent (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox). Rien à installer : vous pouvez l’ajouter à l’écran d’accueil. Une connexion internet est nécessaire.
- **Quelle guitare ?** Acoustique ou électrique, peu importe. L’accordeur est dans l’application. Un capo aide à partir du trimestre 5, sans être obligatoire.
- **Dans quelle langue ?** Kreol morisien, français ou anglais. Vous changez de langue à tout moment, dans l’application comme sur ce site.
- **Combien de temps par jour ?** 10 à 25 minutes selon le niveau, quatre jours par semaine suffisent. Le programme complet dure quatre ans : seize trimestres de treize semaines.
